If there is one thing about Bari (Italy) that you should know, it is that people there eat raw fish like Wisconsinites eat cheese. The fact that I do not like raw fish was enough for me to decide that I needed to escape my beautiful hometown. So, at the age of 15, I packed a suitcase, a box of homemade orecchiette, and I adventured to the other side of the world. The so-called “land of opportunities” - and burgers and cookies, I would add.
Adapting to a new culture, learning a new language, making new friends, learning how to live on my own was anything but easy, yet I would do it over again a million times. My brave decision turned out to be extremely eye and mind-opening. So much so that after finishing high school in Florida, I moved to Wisconsin, where in 5 years I got a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, with a double minor in Economics and JAMS and a Master of Science in Marketing.
One thing that has never changed in my life is my love and commitment to swimming which allowed me to crown my dream of being a Division 1 Student-Athlete. My college career was filled with countless 6 am practices, bus rides, amazing people, friends, teammates, and not-so-amazing dorm food, but also new professional opportunities that have shaped me into a mature person, ready to jump into the real world.
I am excited to keep filling my plate with tasty foods, new spices, and flavors to make my next meal amazing. I look forward to talking to you to see how my skills and personality align with your company.
